Students of the Sherman Speech and Debate team competed at the Lindale tournament over the weekend. The students competed against 44 schools and over 350 students. Eight Sherman students competed at the tournament. The team finished with students qualifying for the NTDA Championship tournament in March, earning points toward TFA State in March and earning legs toward earning a bid to the NIETOC (National Individual Events Tournament of Champions) in Omaha, Nebraska in May. Students Michael Gajda and Kayson Bridges finished as Quarter-Finalists (top 8) in CX Debate, Lela Ramsey finished as a Semi-Finalist in Prose Interpretation, Jacobi Cantrell finished 4th in Congressional Debate and Sarah McGinn finished 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation.
